orange mocktail for glowing skin

Introducing, The Jenny. She loves a whimsical celebration and moments of cherishing all of the magical kinds of love in your life! The Jenny isn’t only gorgeous; it’s packed with goodness and will make you glow—the olive oil, rose water, orange peel, and strawberries will boost collagen production, skin elasticity, skin hydration, and more. ⁣I made The Jenny for a cocktail/mocktail competition for my friend Jenny’s birthday, where we all got to translate our love for Jenny into drinks inspired by her amazing qualities, and it was such a reminder of how fun just the ACT of loving, the VERB of loving is. ⁣

In fact, one of my love languages with MYSELF is making little treats for no reason at all. If you want more about why the love languages are BS (and amazing science to up-level ALL of the relationships in your life), you’re going to love this episode of the Liz Moody Podcast. It was so eye opening for me to think about ALL of the people in my life I was showing love to and receiving love from, and it’s honestly been a ton of fun to look out for all the little love sparkles sent my way. In the podcast episode, I sat down with Dr. Julie Schwartz Gottman and Dr. John Gottman to discuss their research surrounding couple’s therapy, relationships, and how to fight positively with your partner. I honestly learned so much from our conversation, and summarize the main takeaways as:

  • How having quality relationships can extend your life by 17 years
  • The 3 fighting styles & how to know which one you fall into
  • The 5:1 ratio you need to follow to have a successful fight with your partner
  • How to know if your relationship is healthy or unhealthy (& whether or not unhealthy relationships can change!)
  • The number one thing to never say in a fight
  • What the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are & why they ruin relationships
  • Why you only have 3 minutes to create a successful fight
  • The Gottmans’ surprising thoughts on Love Languages
  • An exercise to build more trust and happiness into your relationship
  • What to do when a fight isn’t resolvable (and how to know when to break up)
